Worked immediately. I’m not really sure what we’re going to do when you’re no longer around Dan. The world owes you.

That worked perfectly, thank you Dan. I wish I could understand why however lol!
What does the question mark and colon between 100 and 0 mean?
Ternary Operator? If so, isn’t a ternary operator simply a more efficient but ultimately similar way to say the above? Shouldn’t the above still work?
Thanks again for all the help you provide the community.

Did you ever get a setup going for your ring lighting? Trying to figure out a setup myself.

  • Yes the performance is so disappointing. Defeats the whole purpose really. What I’ve done is setup render presets and then right click and select render and replace. This makes it more manageable but it still takes way too long to render. In the time it takes to do that I could have just opened up After Effects and rendered the graphic out 5 times. If you need to make a change there is an option to revert back. The whole process really sucks and is really disappointing. I’ve built some great templates for my crew but for the most part they are unusable due to how sluggish they perform. Adobe adobe …..

Ok I figured it out. I needed to change the text for the hidden text layers as well. Everything needs to match up exactly and that makes sense.

One thing I noticed after a while was how changing the font seems to break everything. Do you know why that would be?

To better elaborate what my true end goal to do is I would like a slider that allows an editor to go to the index number needed to highlight the word they want to highlight in a paragraph of text.

So based on the slider the box is created with my desired padding around the word based on index. Not sure if that makes sense.
