I am not sure I understand….our source footage is 1920 x 1080 and looks fine when exported as a WMV file and as Video MPEG2 etc…is there a reason why the QT files are looking different?

    Thanks

we can also try the square pixel trick but I think we already tried that…

Is there a certain CODEC needed for this on 9.0 Platinum? the file does not have audio when added to the timeline and the properties show no audio on the file

I see that Brenna solved her problem but it does not state what she did. I have the same problem. I try to import from the DVD, but it does not state the audio import properties. it just imports the file and puts in the ASSETS. then when I drag the Asset to the timeline there is no audio.

    Do I need a CODEC….?

We are not running VISTA and we are using 9.0 Platinum

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks

  • You bring up a good point, because when you want to take a file and compress it to give someone or put on the web, the one in PP seems to be “okay” to me, better than 1.5, but you said that Vegas has excellent encoding…I can get a student deal on the Vegas 8.0 for about $250 so I am wondering if this might be a good investment for some of the other features it offers….like encoding, speed etc…also our composer has Vegas 8.0 and she was able to do some cool effects with it such as the film look and others….

can you elaborate on the text typer effect using the range selector?

Also I was looking for some cool (film look) effects that allow you to add grain and color to make the video look like an old film.

The thumbnail is showing up as a button with Text on it. I am not sure if there is a particular button type I need to use. My version of Encore 2.0 did not have the pre-created menu themes that are already ready to go. Also the layer in the properties tab has the (%) in it and it has that picture of a piece of film on the left side showing that a video is supposed to be associated with it…..is my button not set up correctly?

No one has encountered this issue? I am curious to how I can take the buttons that I have on the menu and create a picture thumbnail and then animate it by checking the Animate box.

    thanks
