April 27, 2015 at 9:12 pm in reply to: Would an expression be useful for swipe effect or is just a matter of setting up keyframes.Hey, thanks for your help. I managed to get the effect working well by having a normal keyframe, followed by two easy ease for the end of the increase and the decrease. I then went into the graph editor and made the curve towards the decrease more steep.
I was wondering what does this key frame velocity influence do exactly?

Hey, thanks for the reply, yeah I know you can do that It just annoys me, the font must be corrupt because I’ve had it happen before with another font and when I obtained a new version of it worked fine. Its kind of weird though because its almost like the font does have a apostrophe symbol showing when you first install it but that must be broken.

July 16, 2014 at 3:29 pm in reply to: Is there anyway to keep the position of a 2D layer when switched to 3D while a camera is active in the composition?Hey, my camera was zoomed in already to focus on one part of text which had the 3d option on, I created a new text layer for the next piece of text I wanted to use in the animation and positioned it aligned nicely to the 3d active layer of text, when I then enabled 3d on that aligned text it moved off the screen because of the camera’s positioning but I wanted to just make it say where it was without having to scale the text down again and re-align once the option is ticked. Thanks

Hi thanks for the help but theres something going on when Im trying to do it using a light, if any of you use CS6 I have the comp link here. Theres these weird lines being cast rather than a shadow as if somethings wrong. 5913_noteshadowtest.aep.zip

Also i tried darby’s method and it worked quite nicely although im just intrested in getting this other way working as well.
Thanks for all your replies and I should add that in the project file I was trying to get the shadows to work on the text first, to just check the shadows are working correctly. But even that isn’t working. The only thing I want the shadow on is the yellow shape though.

Intresting stuff. I found a 25p Option on my camcorder and I will try shooting with that with about 180 shutter speed. Although what If I shot in 50p at about 200 shutter and then just converted the 50p to 24p/25p Then if I wanted to slow down the footage for any reason I could have a smoother slow motion.
At 1:53 do you recon this was a really high shutter speed or was it some effect in post production https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQHAZQwCGls&playnext=1&list=PLB27422F6F088916E

Thanks a lot, the frame rate im working at is 50fps so the shutter speed would be around 1/200?. Im going for that war film look so I need higher shutter speed.

Thanks for the help. It created a nice desaturated look and still left a bit of the colour which I wanted. Problem is when I add the blue hint it seems to not work very well but anyway I will try some other things.
