If you are attempting to record to tape, it will only record in SD. To record in HD, you need to record to a P2 card and set the media switch to “P2”.

Complete BPAV folder structure with sub-folders and files on a DVD (presumably copied directly from the original disc). Exactly this same DVD was used on the Mac (and produced usable .mov files for FCP via XDCAM Transfer) as was used on the PC (which produced only the second part of the spanned clip either directly in Vegas or via ClipBrowser 2.6). Incidentally, only the second of the spanned files either played on VLC or showed up in MediaInfo on the PC, which is why I thought the file was corrupted in some way. But BOTH files worked just fine on the Mac when converted. Go figure.

The Firestore FS-100 has reached “end of life” and Focus Enhancements’ parent has been dumping the last of them on the market real cheap. I picked up two of them (with some accessories too) for my HVX200 and 200A for less than $500 each. Can’t do better than that.

Currently running Vegas on a MacBook Pro under BootCamp. All seems fine with the minor exception of a Focusrite Saffire Pro firewire audio interface that doesn’t play nice under BootCamp.

Microsoft has a free PowerPoint Viewer program you can download and then save the slide in a suitable format yourself.
