Well I upgraded to 12 and the flickering on the red highlight effect remains! Any more ideas?

I have been looking at CPU upgrades and I can fairly cheaply change to an i7 3770k.

Will I see vast improvements if I did this?

I just upgraded to SVP 12 and have been having a play with newbluefx. A lot of the newbluefx effects seems to grind vegas to a halt. It seems to add the effect and if you render they look ok, but it’s impossible to preview them, in particular the openfx ones.

Are we saying that a gpu such as a gtx 570 wouldn’t help with this? And that if I want to play with the more intense effects I will be needing a CPU upgrade?

Thanks Steve. I will update. A bit scared of updating at such a late day in the project. Are all settings and preferences retained after an update?

Ah, ok. So probably not worth it then, without a major upgrade.

I didn’t think it would be as simple as just asking DVDA to make a DVD, but it works and looks fine.

OK, my BluRay project in SVP was rendered as MainConcept MPEG2 1920×1080-50i, 25 Mbps template and AC-3 Pro 5.1 audio.

So, for best results, I take it I render the project again specifically for DVD? If so, what templates am I best using?

Its a 1920×1080 project at 25fps with 5.1 audio.
