    Hi Eugene,

I know it has been a while but I think I may have a fix for you.

If I was you I would remove the offending file: CINEMA4DAE.aex as it isnt doing anything if it is bringing up that error.

In its place (plugins directory) put the file: C4D.plugin. You can find this at:

    https://www.maxon.net/downloads/updates-co/updates/plugins.html

it is at the top of the list in the After Effects folder and entitled “Plugin for After Effects CS4 to CINEMA 4D R11.5 connection.”

Worked for me when I had that problem and you should be able to integrate with C4D again.

    Good luck

  • Thanks Dennis, I tried to install that codec but apparently I already have it. I am also already running QT 7.5.

  • Thanks for the responses guys, they are much appreciated. Unfortunatly I dont think i will have access to the cards again as the director has gone back to London (and I live quite far away). I could maybe sort something out but it would be better for all if i could use the files I have

If I was to get my paws on a copy of FCP 6 would i be able to open the files in that? Is then codec required to play the clips with FCP 6? It seems odd to me that quicktime wont play them on my machine, is that the reason why?

    Thanks again.
