April 17, 2015 at 9:00 am in reply to: Time Remapping an Entire Composition

    Hi Jeff —

—- didnt read the original post throughly enough….. apologies ……

    —- 2 things spring to mind…

1 ) —- reverse time map the video footage — ie if you are speeding up to 200% ( say) then remap the footage to 50%

2 ) —– depending on how the video is built into the animation …… you might be able to sit the video on top ……… i e precomp the job – remap – add video on another layer …….

—— if you already have precomps inside comps this might get a bit complicated but I reckon its still possible to do this……

I would try reverse time mapping the footage first.

All the best ———————- chris —

    Hi –

    — never done this myself but would expect it to work if the whole project was precomped then apply time remapping to the precomp — cant see why not….

Hi — think it is complicated to get this realistic and theres also the problem of getting the ice cubes to react with the person in the shower ! ( need a big budget or another shoot using real ice cubes I think – maybe shot at high frame rate and slowed down )

—- however if you have a voice over saying something like ‘- is your shower like ice cubes” then one way to go is to stylise it — use a cartoon style or an info graphic style maybe ??

Hi Joe — thanks for feedback – will try the checkbox which I dont normally do.

——- glad this is of use.

Would have expected 3,500 fonts to slow things down a lot — do you have a really fast machine to cope please?

    — also please how do you get to a font on the list without taking ages to scroll down ? — sounds like there a few management things I need to learn ( maybe ) —

    Hi Joe

    — in Nexus I have folders with various selections / main / wacky / whatever….

    — if I open Nexus then open a folder BEFORE I run up AE it will access all the fonts in the folder that is open in Nexus without them being installed — this is very useful I think
