open media encoder, drop the exported video into it and pick
a preset for DVD encoding.

in the audio tab, change PCM to Dolby Digital and set the bitrate
for 256 or 448.

import those after encoding.

truth be told a lot of those “bugs” are users with low cpu power/no gpu accelarator,
to make CS 6 sing the way it was meant to.

On my particular setup, it’s been great.

I’d just export it as another file, then encode with media encoder
and author it from there.

I’ve seen that before with other codecs.
They are locked into a particular resolution regardless of what you set.

careful with modding the app to make an unsupported gpu work.

some have had success, others very odd technical problems.

Your safe bets are:

Quadro4000 – yes a bit expensive, but works and works well. CS 6 workhorse.

GeForce GTX 285 – cheaper if you can find one. works well, almost as fast as quadro4000

I was planning on the GTX 285, then decided the Quadro was worth the extra money.

After using it for 6 months in 2 different edit suites, I’m glad I got that one.

are there other settings for xdcam encoding?

could be a profile as there are different options for xdcam.

try changing to higher bitrates maybe.

He’s a fair skinned guy and your isolated skin tone screen
shot is aligning very closely with the skin tone line on the scope.

I don’t see a problem here.
