I do quite a bit of captioning within premiere cc.
I’ve never seen them burned in to a quicktime. In quicktime preferences
you can enable or disable that it will show the captions.also, in premiere cc, there is a preference for it to recognize
and import embedded captions. by default it is not enabled.If I export a quicktime with captions on the track above it
and in the export settings, embed the captioning, export it,
then re-import it, the captions will be there.For long form such as what you are working on, I would recommend
the services of web.automaticsync.com you can send them a txt
file and an mp3 and they can create the captions for you and double
check them for a reasonable cost. -
did you import the footage on your pc through the media browser or did
you right click in the bin area and import it that way?might be worth to verify it was done through media browser.

are you using the Quicktime then H.264 (under that) on export settings?
or H.264 then the preset under it?I had quality problems as well, but i was using the quicktime wrapped
h.264 and that was the problem. -

try customize, then remove one or more, then close it, then
customize and add them back.worth a shot.

I’d just keep running Mountain lion.
If anything there were some issues introduced using cc with Mavericks
though most, if not all have been addressed/fixed by now. -
In my experience it’s not at all complicated.
What I do know is that if you have a TV spot with the incorrect
field order interpreted, you will definitely see out of field
order jitter on CRT & Plasma displays. I’ve never seen
this happen on LCD but I supposed it’s possible.In the case of clients delivering TV spots in 24p which
does happen sometimes, I just place it in a 1080i upper field
first sequence and export it from there. It looks fine
and plays fine without any visual artifacts or ghosting. -

I’m on the Mac version of cc (october update) and never had
any pro res export issues.When we were running CS6 and had a sequence with multiple stacked
titles or still graphics I had problems with it quiting/closing before export finished
but a reboot always fixed that.Can you give more details about your system, o/s version
and the graphic files themselves…are they bigger than 4000 pixels
are they RGB or CMYK? -
