Ya, I have it setup properly (per the blog) and it doesn’t output.
    also tried toggling with /
    no difference.

IT DOES WORK WITH PREMIERE CC 2014, just not AE

I’m running the latest Black Magic driver 9.7.7

I also have an exact identical mac pro in another
room same version of os x and CUDA with AE CC 2014,
only it has a Kona 3G card instead of black magic and that one does output just fine.

So something is going on with the BMD aspect of AE’s output.

So this was a false alarm, I’d forgotten an aja tech had helped
me with this before and I had not applied this setting to CC 2014.

    In the audio hardware preferences:

    Audio output: Built in output

buffer: 1024 (not 512 default setting)

No audio problems with above setting on the kona3G

    2009 Mac Pro
    OS X 10.8.3
    Quadro 4000 (CUDA 6.0)

[Andy Edwards] “Were you having perfect audio playback with all your preferences set to AJA input and output in System Prefs and Premiere Prefs?”

I don’t recall exactly what it was in system preferences (whatever aja recommended) but within premiere, ya it was set to AJA.

The 7.2.2 (last update in april) got rid of that audio gremlin completely, but
still had the problem on my other system with black magic interface. once in awhile.

    [Jake Abramson] “, AME presets”

did you see if the mpeg2 presets import?

They wouldn’t from cs6 to cc and I had to manually setup/hand enter
    the modified ones I made.

June 18, 2014 at 5:43 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC Export issues

I had this problem briefly with CC and being unable to export h.264
I could export as pro res, then use media encoder to convert it to h.264

as a workaround, can you export it as 10-bit uncompressed quicktime?

also, have you tried disabling openCL and try software mode only?

There is an issue with 10.9.3 if you are running that and openCL.
apple is working on a 10.9.4 update to fix that.

on the deck I have, there is blue/green bar lines for lower 2/3 of
the display, then the first red bar (-20 calibration bar)
with the upper 3rd above it in red.

-24 will be roughly 2/3 of that blue/green bar lines area.
Never hitting the red and bouncing around below that,
never lighting up 2 or 3 of the blue/green bars beneath the red -20 bar.

It’s by no means an approximation, but in discussing it
with our lead audio guy (he’s been doing this since 1967)
it’s a nice double check to see we are at or near the safe range
when used in conjunction with Loudness Radar.

He also has a plugin for pro-tools which precisely tells him
where things are at should we need additional confirmation.

I trust the VU meter on the BetaSP deck.

When i send a -20 tone to it, through my kona3g it
    registers -20.

when I play a spot for calm act levels, it shows
on the VU meter what it should.

    [Christopher May] “OSX 10.9.3”

there are a number of issues with 10.9.3, I wonder
if that is one of them.

apple is reportedly working on a 10.9.4 to address the
    problems.
