no. i am just dragging and dropping it in the photoshop made video button. it all works, besides the alpha isn’t showing up – getting a black background instead.

I actually figured it out – 90% of it.
I linked the menu to photoshop – placed a shape layer within the menu. Sent back to Encore, made that shape layer a button by converting it. Linked back to photoshop, made the shape layer/button into a video thumbnail button – by renaming it (%). Then back to Encore.
It all worked, yet the damn video has an alpha channel but it is not being read within encore, it has a black background instead.

I still don’t see any buttons from that download.
Could you elaborate more? Like a step by step to throw a video button/thumbnail on the menu?

Im not using hdv video. They are standard def 720×480 Plus Im not using AE…sorry there is no category for encoder alone. I am using premiere pro cs4 out to encoder.

But, its a DELL PRECISION T7400 XP 32 BIT (unfortunately the comp. i work for wont allow more than that as of now) and as I mentioned previously AE CS4 version.

basically you just want to render to a codec that supports an alpha channel (rgba). in the render settings, you’ll choose rgba (or rgb + alpha) and you should get transparency in the render where you had transparency in the comp.
—-when you say render settings you mean the ones in the render queue box, because I don’t see anything that would be able to choose rgba?

Thank you all for the same answers…lol. Are you all in the same room…weird. Anways I thought that and was making sure…could i even try a longer process of cutting the objects out in photoshop by rendering a film strip through premiere to be real precise?
