Hmmm…I just remember him saying that it was a real struggle. I remember reading a tutorial somewhere also that said the same thing. Foe that reason, I’ve been looking at external burners. I’ve installed internal hard drives in my MacPro. Would you say that this is just as easy. I seem to recall there being some issues with the cables.???

I’ve been advised by a very knowledgeable person on this subject to not even attempt to install an internal SATA burner in the MacPro. His advice: Buy an external burner.

“Gang” may work, but I’ve always used “Open”
In fact, I’m working on one right now. -
I know this is basic stuff, but this always works for me double-click on the clip on the timeline to re-load it into the viewer, then re-select “Open” from the drop-down menu. This should reset everything.

I just did some checking, and apparently BD-R media currently only supports up to 4x writing speed.
The older model Buffalo MediaStation 6x external drive can be had for only $200, and it also plays HD-DVD. The only problem is that I’m not sure if either of the Buffalo units will work on a Mac. The specs say PC only, but this might only apply to the bundled software. -
The Buffalo unit uses the Panasonic SW-5584 BD burner. I believe the limit on BD media is still only 6x.

Incidently, most retailers are charging in the $60 range for the Sandisk 16-gig card. There is the one web site at $30 (BlueProton), which makes me suspicious. When you consider that difference in pricing, I guess that makes the Transcend a no-brainer.

I was referring to comments made by e-films regarding the Sandisk vs. Transcend cards.

They said that the card is a little larger than the Sandisk. Does this affect the way it fits in the adaptor?
They also said that they recommend the Sandisk over the Transcend. Do you know why that is? -
