I got one too. It appears to be identical to the CVP unit. Well constructed. A real deal.

Try using Compressor to make a large H.264 Quicktime movie and send that to your client using YouSendIt.com. It’s a free service that allows you to send files up to 100mb. Should be plenty for a great looking 30 sec. file. If your client doesn’t have a recent version of Quicktime, it’s a free download.

Based on my own experience with the DV-Rig Jr. and the EX-1, I cannot recommend it. Maybe if you are using the camera bare with no light, wireless mikes or wide angle lens attachment. Otherwise, the camera is just too heavy for this unit. If anyone wants to try it, mine’s for sale.

This appears to be the same unit as the one CVP sells. It looks like it is available from a few different E-Bay sellers. Very cheap! Philip Bloom gave it a rave review on his web site. Here’s the E-Bay address:

I completely agree with Don on this. To me, the flashes are just as annoying whether they are full-frame or partial-frame. It’s the flash that’s the problem, not the rolling shutter issue.

Personally, I believe that when doing weddings, you should be as inconspicous as possible. From the looks of this contraption, you are likely to become the focus of attention rather than the bride. I think you’ll find that the more invisible you can be, the more referrals you’ll get from wedding coordinators and catering managers.

If you used one of the presets, it is probably .ac3.

.m2v is video only. Audio is encoded and saved as a separate file. Look for the audio file. It might not have been saved to the same location as your video file, depending on where you instructed Compressor to save it. In DVD Studio Pro, you need to bring in both audio and video files individually, or, if you give both files the same name, when you bring in the video file, the audio file will automatically follow.
