Two audio sources showing as one track. Waveform indicates two sources. I have NO idea what the camera operator was thinking. Is there a way to get PP 2022 to display the two sources separately? I can dupe the track and pan, but at least in Avid there is a display option to show I think two mono tracks.

Used to be a number of ways to do this, but seem to be gone.
Streamclip and VLC I believe used to do this, but no more…?

Good point on decoding. Turns out the tracker was not properly connected! I simply deleted and pulled in a new one and that was it. Another forum pointed out the tracker might just be sitting ‘on top’ and sure enough that did it.

I set the track point, hit track and the error in the screen shot pops up. Nada. I’ll try more troubleshooting and return here if I again hit the wall. Thanks !

Transfer data, yes. Tutorial I watched showed tracking first then adding object. But I have been unable to complete the track. If that’s incorrect, I am all ears! Used color for awhile, still ‘getting wet’ with Fusion!

I inherited a 4K project I need to drop in some new VFX clips. I intend making proxies so my machine won’t stutter. Is there a way to create proxies for just edited clips used in the sequence, rather than having to proxy all the cam footage, even unused stuff? That would really be overkill for this use.

So I have a piece of footage on which I got a nice stable track. Created null. Created some text. Null is parent to the text. However, the text is not staying in the part of screen I want. I imagine something to do with positioning of Null…?

Haven’t had to do this in years, I suspect I am doing something

out of order.

Two identical video tracks. I apply blur to V1.

Draw mask on V2 around object I need blurred,

using the Polygon tool.

Open tracker and it tracks fine.

But I have lost the shape I drew, so cannot select it

for the tracker settings, it doesn’t ‘see’ a shape.

I did a search on the Adobe forum, and found this

Preferences > Memory, and make sure “Reduce Cache size when system is low on memory” is NOT checked.
I found this fixed it!

An error started showing up recently, when hitting either space bar or 0 for playback.
Is this a settings issue, or bug?

I was given footage as a sequence of DNG files, 4K. New format for me. Created proxies in ProRes. When I try to import as image sequence, the box to check doesn’t allow me to check. So I tried the ‘stitch together’ mode in Media Encoder. That does create a sequence, but it is filled with intermittent red flashes on playback.

I have been fortunate enough to work mostly with audio fed into the camera.

Having no AE, I will be faced with syncing up myself.

What’s best practice, here?

Create a sequence for each good take and syncing that way?

Thx very much, I knew it was something simple.

I have a camera with it switched on. Two 3D layers, one close in front and a far BG layer. The focus distance is set to the front layer. I think I should be able to affect the BG blur by adjusting the aperture. Doing nothing. I know I am missing something, as this should be simple. I have played around with blur level also, to no avail.

I am posting this as a warning to all, as it happened to me.

When I do a Reveal File, I get “Unable to find media for selected clips”.
However, using name of clip and searching in Finder, I find both the original Camera file and the created MXF media. It seems as if the connection was lost at some point last weekend.

I guess the question becomes, how do I reconnect the MXF media.
