    Hey Filip!

Thank you very much for the follow up tutorial and all the effort you put in – it is perfect for the job at hand. I had wondered if it was possible to setup a ‘working’ chain… and clearly it is!

    Great Stuff.

Many thanks again for all your help,

    Charlotte

    Hi Filip,

Thank you for your response I shall give it a go.

I had hoped for the chain movement to look realistic -the bicycle and its parts are loosely hand drawn.

    Thanks again for your help,

    Hi Dan,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I turned off all the options and switches I could think of (for the moment) though the expressions do still keep randomly turning themselves off. There are no error messages, it just suddenly occurs.

I have wondered if the problem cannot be fixed, is there a shortcut key to enable and disable all expressions on selected layers at once? As opposed to having to twirl down the postion properties of each layer?

Failing that, is there a way to create a further expression in the compostition (perhaps linked to a null with a checkbox) that will achieve the above function?

    I hope this makes sense,

    Thank you for your help

    Hi there,

Thank you graymachine and ShortBrit for your advice.

I’m trying to master Dan Ebbert’s expression based particle generator as it seems highly useful.

Thank you graymachine for the link.

The Time Stretch tip seems perfect for acheiving the effect of ‘frozen’ bubbles quickly.

What a great find, cheers ShortBrit!

    Thanks again,

    Hi greymachine,

Thank you for the pointer – I have downloaded a demo version of Trapcode Particular and it seems to do the job well.

However, I am unable to buy the full version (so there is a big red cross in the way of the imagery) and am wondering whether there is still another method I could follow using the plug-ins and effects that come with After Effects?

    Do you/does anyone know?

    Thank you though,
