I am using it with Snow Leopard and FCS 3, FW 800 drives and a Matrox mini in the slot. No issues.

  • All I have seen so far is some people walking around or standing around eating and drinking. The suspense is KILLING me!

  • I believe I will.

Thanks for the heads up on that forum. I will check it out.
They were playing back off a new MB Pro with external firewire 800 drive, 7200RPM.

I first started noticing this when I had to use type that was created in Photoshop. I guess the hard edges and finer details draws more attention to it. It is definitely new to AE 6.5, since I used to create all my type this way and never had this softening problem in prev versions. Now I use Illustrator or create in AE because there’s no work around.

  • Jennifer-
I am just completing a project for a large museum exhibit that is going to be playing back from many MAC minis to many LCD screens, and a couple of plasma screens. I have done a lot of experimentation with connections, compression, you name it.
My advice is- absolutely go for plasma. The more LCD full screen playback I see, the less I like it. And render progressive frame, no fields. And the connection you want is DVI to DVI or HDMI, not VGA. It is digital, and cleaner, less blurry looking than VGA.
As for 16X9 or 4X3- that is both a matter of taste and a matter of what the TV station wants from you in the end. They didn’t specify?

You can’t collapse a layer. Only a comp.
