November 14, 2013 at 10:38 pm in reply to: Layers Chopped Off after import from Ai to AEI had that problem, too. Searched high and low and tried various supposed fixes. None worked until I stumbled upon the suggestion to add a stroke around the object that is truncating. It worked. It came into After Effects whole again. Hope this helps someone. (working in CS5, btw)

Thank you so much, Jonathan! That did the trick! It happened!
God bless!

I just tried placing the mask inside the main layer at top, grouped layers for mask, selected group, selected mask, object, clipping mask, make, and the flower pot, windows, door glass, and shrubbery are still missing. Do they show up for you?

Thanks, Jonathan! Was my mistake making the clipping mask outside the main layer, even though it was first in the panel? I needed to include it in the main layer, but place it on top?

I uploaded the file while trying to reply to the thread. It must have gone into another forum. The subject line is Re: Illustrator Clipping Mask omitting layers. Same subject title. Possibly different forum. I tried uploading three times to get it onto this thread with no success. I must be missing something here.

UPDATE:
After testing and retesting a gazillion times and methods, I seem to have stumbled across a solution to my problem. This may not work for all audio problems, but it seems to be the fix in this case. This solution has worked twice consecutively.
Initially, I had disabled the “enable LFE” on the render settings of the 5.1 surround audio out of Sony Vegas Pro 11. After a last-ditch effort to try something else, I enabled the LFE. When the “make DVD” process completed in DVD Architect, I was blessed with the sweet, sweet sound of AUDIO from the DVD! Yay!
Hopefully, my solution helps others out there with no audio after their render.

Update 01/08/2013…Rendered on DVDA 5.2 with same results… The video bitrate is 9.088 Mbps, audio is 448 Kbps. If video bitrate too high, will that kick out the audio? ….if that is a silly question, I am sorry….just trying to think outside the box.

testing in pc and dvd player. menu audio is fine. movie audio – none — on both pc and dvd player.
