Thanks, Steve and sorry..that wasn’t very precise.
The clip staggers and plays back at about 5-10 fps , but only the AE one, all the other native HDV clips play back fine, so I doubt that its a ram issue.
Copied exact settings from FCP Sequence, HDV PAL 1080 25p, with upper field first.
(AE recognized this and automatically interpreted is this way) -
sorry if this maybe already posed, (couldn’t read all the threads)
but we experienced the sudden crashing-over-crashing issues in HDV, 1080 25p, editing a 90 min feature.
We realized it’s simply to much information on one timeline and broke up the mater seq. We still have crashes but everything got significantly smoother after working in 15 min portions…– Caspar

I assumer in 23 years you figured it out , right 😉
I am right in the middle of this ugly problem, finally found the AV devices tap get an output..but in 4:3 format.
(cropped) even if all possible settings are on 1080 60i….great… any clue?Much thanks in any case,

Thansk so much. Yes some homework to so, for sure.
I have avoided all the drawbacks for HDV editing (simple denial 😉
especially all the i-frame and Grand Old Party aspects.So far editing went really OK in HDV, its just the connection to the deck for print to video. It worked..and now stopped working..:-(
