I left out the fact that these single images are already form a coherent sequence so it’s not THAT wild as described.

Sorry, I didnt understand Did you mean “from” or “to” the effects presents? Went thru all the presets and could not find any transparency up-down Effect.
I assume these effects work between two layers, correct? So how could I oscillate Transparency from layer 2, say in a frequence of 5 frames? (or more, in case I make a special version for your daughter 😉

Thanks, Rafael, I understood that part, but it’s getting really frustrating when you want to re-link.
So once you lost your (transferred) clips I found no way of re-linking them, only transferring again, but since they nor replacing the missing ones they’re useless… Ever had that particular problem?

Shane, I don’t thinks so.
The only way (to my knowledge) to get XDCam footage into FCP is with the Sony Transfer Utility. So I open in from FCP project vii >Import > SOny XDCam.
The material from the RAw BPAV folders then show up inside the project as single clips.

It doesn’t Log and Transfer and what should I log and transfer if the clips are already imported via Sony XDCam utilitiy?

So right now with the moved onto other drive it looks like there is no other way to re-connect media?
Wonder what Rafael meant with re-wrapping….

Still one problem: With XDCam Transfer I can only Re-transfer my files into the project,
but how could I re-wrap the clips instead so that my offline files get reconnected?

I am *ALMOST* there…
Still would need to know for one TINY advice for tweaking:

In Difference Matte, it seems that all movement of moving objects perfectly register when displaying alpha only. Except humans (no idea of its the contrast in my image of what? )
Here’s the image of the alpha only view,
the left lower corner is a human walking by, in front of a fence, in differnce matte creating not a clear white area, but lot of abstract garbage inside the shape. Any idea how to get this clean without manual rotoscoping?
Excessive Luma/color keys are to harsh, I probably would need kind of an equivalent to Photoshop’s “grow”….

Didn’t know that this type of “Set-Matte” keying is such a piece of cake!

As for the WIzard People: Could find almost everything there, incl. Spill Killer, Super Alpha Cleaner and what not, but unfortunately nothing that stencils this kind of Difference… anyhow, the set matt already solved half of my problems in less than a minute!!! 🙂
