Aav6cc v0.95a (the old CPU-only one) can be kept on your computer if you wish to use old .vegs.
It’s still available here: https://www.moosehill.se/index.php?page=vegas/6cc.php

Other than that, only beta 4 and onward (now called ColorLab) should be used. It will *not* pick up old .vegs and will look like a different plugin, which it is.

I wonder if there’s going to be a new plugin SDK for 64-bit Vegas. I’d like to port ColorLab to it, and am hoping they left the horrible DirectX Media system.

Hi,

It looks like the log is from beta 3. Please make sure you’ve uninstalled earlier betas properly, and better uninstall beta 4 as well. Then reinstall beta 4 again to make sure it has registered.

(This kind of thing shouldn’t be an issue looking forward, since I’ve settled on using Microsoft Installer and it’ll detect these version conflicts.)

There may be a problem with the installer. I’ve switched to a different installer for beta 4, and this should ensure the dependencies are satisfied.

Another possibility is that you don’t have a “DirectX 9” graphics card (with shader model 2.0 support). There is currently limited error checking in the plugin, and I’m trying to fix this for beta 4 also.

I’ll post again when I’ve released it. Thanks for trying ColorLab, all feedback is appreciated.

If you’d like to try installing the dependencies manually, please grab these:
– DirectX 9.0c (https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en)
– .NET Framework 2.0 (https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en)

8.0b is what I’m using too.

Did you get any errors when installing it? Remember to uninstall Aav6cc beta 1 or 2 if you tried that earlier.

Otherwise, could you look up the following in either Explorer or Internet Explorer?
file://%APPDATA%/AAV ColorLab/log.txt

If that doesn’t give you anything, try %APPDATA%\AAV ColorLab\log.txt

Post the text back here please.
