Yes, you were right. My system (G5 dual 2.7 w/ 7gb RAM) had maxed out. I rendered the earlier jpegs and now the new ones drop in ok. There are all RGB. I was not aware you could max out a sequence with multiple RT render files laid down sequentially. I thougt is was only when you wer playing them simultaneously. I wonder why FCP can’t flush its’ RT cache during playback?

I was looking for a better answer. Yes, I can render it, but it takes 3-4 min. to render each clip, meaning it is taking all day to edit keyframes, where as on the first part of the sequence we were able in real-time. There has got to be a way to fix this. It is hard to have our client “imagine” what each clip looks like using wireframe.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the Intensity Pro does not downconvert to SD monitoring in real-time – which is what I need. It does do HDMI, which is half of what I need, but I like the fact that the larger cards also do hardware rendering support for HDV…
