My son actually typed that.
I would NEVER type something that I didn’t actually check out in FCP first… I would NEVER rest on what I BELIEVED to be true… and finally — I would NEVER type in anger over a fix I wish Apple would have fixed YEARS ago… no, I wouldn’t type like that — he’s only 5… and he runs the sound anyway.
No… all kidding aside: To answer YOUR queston… Motion: Center.
To answer MY question… although you cannot adjust easy in in the TIMELINE (either sequence or viewer timelines) for center — you CAN (wow, didn’t know this!!) adjust it in the CANVAS window. Very cool little beizer handle with a slider dot too for speed.

You might try other codecs like Sorenson3 for your base. Find it under the OPTIONS button and Video Format.
Change size to something smaller…
100 minutes onto 800 megs might be hard. The Broadband High will give you 3 -3.5 megs per minute, but it will compress in x4 time at least… quickest I’ve gotten h.264 to go is about x3 speed. VERY slow.
Hard to explain what you need to do in such ‘short’ time.
I’d just send it out to tape and give them a camera to watch it on.

Depends on how good you want it to look… 3 hours is a good time!!

You can ease in and out on some keyframes, but not all. Bit of a pain sometimes.
Motion is really good for doing this like this too.

My stock answer is to use the h.264 compression… looks great and is less filling.
HOWEVER — people need (NEED) quicktime 7 to be able to see it.
File – Export – Quicktime Conversion.
When the dialog box opens change DEFAULT or RECENT SETTINGS to BROADBAND HIGH. Then click on the options box and click SIZE if you need to resize it to 16:9 or a smaller 4:3.
This will be 3 to 3.5 megs per minute. And I’m telling you… it will look great!
Oh — it does take longer to compress than any other codec… so wait for it.

I hadn’t turned off the Adjustment layer thingie in the thingie-ma-doodle.
Ugh.

Might want to look into Aperture … though what I think you want is Photoshop with the Browser window. Very cool in CS and CS2.
