Good point. Hmm — concessions abound, I guess.
Good luck, though.

Basically, he looped/stabilized/keyed people running past the camera. Not sure exactly how ‘small’ your room is – did you really say closet? Grab a portable GreenScreen and have someone run behind her across the shot outside.

Do not rely on FCP to convert the MP3s for you… it won’t. You always have options too. Remember, when the audio sounds bad at point of broadcast they will come to you. Accepting an MP3 for your audio is no excuse. 44.1 is bad enough.
If you insist on having them converted in the NLE use iMovie.

Properly deal?
Proper handling of an MP3 would be 1) throw it in the trash and 2) convert it to something usable. Your sequence is 48/16 why settle for 256mb audio???

Can’t have something that doesn’t exist. — Extend your thumb and cover a stop sign… move your head… see the stop sign???

See if that gets you close.
It really depends on why the camera is moving… you mean there are other elements that you want the camera to move around?

Nope… log sheets work well here. The old paper and pencil kind.
Sorry.

Where’d you finally find that??? That was exactly the tutorial I remember.
Thanks SO much.
Darby — Giving that a try too.
Thanks SO much for everyone’s free time — or time for free is what I mean.
Please bless the givers.

FYI – for those of you keeping score:
t = time – key(2).time;
if (t<0){
value;
}else{
veloc = 30;
amplitude = 70;
decay = 4
x = amplitude*Math.cos(veloc*t)/Math.exp(decay*t);
value + [x,0];

January 29, 2008 at 8:40 pm in reply to: Not how did THEY create this… How did I do it??Dave… yeah, exactly my point.
This, judging from the age of my boys was quite some time ago and probably was just something I quickly did as a test of process. I do have the final output as it now shows up at the end of my reel, but no – I don’t have the original project anymore.
I’ll keep digging.

Yeah — what Steve says…
What’s the pattern on the original footage? (don’t know what W and S are…)
P=progressive I=interlaced
PPPIIPPPII – 24p (from a dvx)
PPPPIPPPPI – 24pAEach need different settings to remove any pulldown.
Haven’t gotten into any of that in AE… I use FCP and Cinema Tools to remove any cadence I might have on footage.
