And do you think compressing them in the media encoder prior to import would resolve this issue?
I’ll try it this evening and see if it changes it…
    Thanks!

I think it does. Other videos i made this way just a few weeks ago worked.
I’m not quite sure what sequence settings to choose so I just dragged the footage onto that little icon of new sequence in the right hand bottom of the clip bin like I saw a tutorial to do and then premier pro made me a sequence according to the footage.
I rendered it as h264 MP4 480p youtube size but even tried doing it again as avi and other sizes.

    Hi Chris,

I thought that might be the issue too but even after i export it it comes out in the final result with those bars still.

ehm i’m not quite sure. its a little simple thingy.
in my camera settings it says Sony, 480p, 25fps, standard STD.
Sorry i’m not so knowledgeable with these things!!

    Hi Ann

Thanks a lot for your time to reply!
I cleaned (that’s the same like trashed right?) my media cash database and imported it again but still the same issue persists.

My camera is a simple little handheld thingy. A Sony DSC-W50 with a 25fps.
Do you think its the camera’s fault?
It seems ok when i play it back anywhere else but in Premier Pro.
I’m rather confused what the problem is.

    Thank you again
    Camille

    Hi Robert,

    Thank you for your reply.
The particles are emitting particles each time for only 2-5 seconds and my computer is supposed to be really strong like an iMac.
I only need this video for a music video for youtube so i found a way to preview it and then screen capture it to cut the render time.
Not very proffesional i know but works for the moment until i get an even stronger computer.

Thank you for your time to respond!

    Camille
