January 20, 2015 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Green Screen Lighting Issues – Dark area noise and harsh feet shadowsThanks, Todd. A simple light like you have demonstrated does seem to be the best solution. I’ve stayed away from that in the past because the talent tends to move their feet back and forth and I didn’t want them to cross in front of the light. However, I don’t think that will be in an issue if I monitor their feet and the light placement. I appreciate it!

January 20, 2015 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Green Screen Lighting Issues – Dark area noise and harsh feet shadowsI will try the soft light. I usually use masks and multiple instances of keying, but it seems like unnecessary extra work. Thanks for your comment!

No, there is no color correction.

Audiojungle.net has a good selection. The SFX are uploaded by users but the site sets the price so they are usually fairly cheap.

Are you using keylight? I have had a similar problem that continues to happen when I use keylight on P2 media. The best solution I’ve come across is to un-click one of the tick boxes in the keylight effect controls… Any of them. Refer to this video… https://vimeo.com/52918281
Hope that helps!

Lynda.com has great tutorials and is fairly cheap. ($25 a month/$35 a month with the exercise files)
Another good way to start is to buy the AE manual and run through it.

Justin,
I never found out exactly how to solve this issue, but kind of found a workaround. Every time I opened up a project or was about to export from a project that was having this issue, I would empty the disk cache. It didn’t completely solve the problem, but helped A LOT.
I was exporting about 30 sequences at a time and almost all of them had this issue. Then, when I started clearing the disk cache (every single time I opened and exported) I would only see the problem in one or two of the sequences. Then I would just do it again and hope for the best.
I hope that helps.

Well it looks like the vault footage has an alpha channel. Therefore, all you have to do is put your footage layer behind it and you will see it through the vault.

Look at the camera path inside of your composition and watch it when that happens. It may be better to change your view to “top” instead of “active camera.” There’s probably some bezier handles on the keyframe causing the path to continue and then come back. Zoom in real close if you don’t see it at first.
Good luck!
