[Craig Seeman] “I don’t know the details of your setup but digital source in an NLE should not be adding 7.5 setup. Analog out to scopes yes and Japan is NTSC as well and they don’t add it at all.”

Does this mean the Analog Black Level on my Kona LH Control Panel should be 0 IRE? Default is 7.5 IRE

So is it possible that FCP X will change things regarding this subject?
I don’t absolutely have to upgrade now, waiting an extra 2 months is not a big deal.
Everyone is debating, but I just get to sit back and learn stuff.

So monitor + calibrator + adapter looks like about $2200 total if I can get the monitor used.
    Any cheaper solutions?
We’ve got an old Z1U lying around. I think I’ll sell it

I see now that the dreamcolor has component inputs, therefore I could plug it directly into the Kona LHe.
Do I lose quality by going analog like that?
    I could save $600

Yes this worked! Thank You, and thanks to the writer of the tutorial

I don’t know how, but but the default sequence was set to 25 frames, and I’ve never worked in PAL but once or twice.

Hope this gets fixed, but at least I know what’s going on now

Yeah I was thinking it’s not possible to export something with db over 0

But my method didn’t really work either. If I export an aiff, then reimport it right back into FCP, the audio difts about 2 seconds over the half hour show.

I looked this up, and couldnt find much, except that it’s a bug. hmmm
