Good idea, they could even design it to look like an animated cow that would “graze” through the entries…and late at night, in between all the UNIX housekeeping chores, the FCP yak could enter into philosophical discussions with it.

With FCP, it’s always better to let other people be the testers and make sure there are no issues between FCP and a new Mac OS (unless you want to be one of the brave ones!).

I’m only buying the Tiger upgrade tomorrow at an Apple store to get in on the supposed Powerbook and iPod raffle they’re gonna have.

Also, there’s an app from the UK called Alam DV (2) which specializes in this sort of thing; it’s $90 (50 pounds, I forget how many Euros) and developers are constantly adding new plugins. It is a bit fan-boyish but very useful.

It can be purchased at: http://www.fxhome.com

I have done this kind of “paint rotoscoping” in Commotion DV before; another good option is to download the 30-day trial of Corel Painter from Corel’s website…I’ve discovered that the new versions of Painter allow you to do a lot of paint roto (and even clone stuff just like Commotion).

Hey, I might even buy the program!
