😉 I was thinking more of reaching the most people. (I have to deliver to dealers, Youtube, Squarebox, etc..)
But that’s simple and you’ll certainly make enough to buy a coffee off of this crew. 😉
I want to thank you for contributing like you do. You and a few of the others on here are finally delivering what a lot of us wanted for this forum.

Is this it?
There’s an upload button on the Tutorials page. I think they have to be exclusive though. But still, a good thing to do.

Hearing the “update duration” thing, I’m betting it’s related to the metadata in the original clip not matching the qt proxy.
That is a strange one though.

Jeff, that’s an awesome tip. I never knew Clipwrap had a CLI interface.
Love that.

I’d have to agree, this is not likely going to work in “plain ol’ Quicktime.”
My word to people who choose to shoot AVDHD is that you pay later for the cheaper camera up front.
If I were tasked with setting up this workflow, I’d either go full res as Robb says, and then delete the full res. (A long way around.)
Or, I’d use something like Episode to make the proxy files through a script fired by the Worker Node. If you have a standalone copy of CatDV, that obviously isn’t an option.
I wish Apple and Sony could work something out on this.

This one now needs to go the official guys. I’ll alert support to pick up from here. Thanks for the testing so far.

Browsers are maddening.
Know that we limit folks to only the latest builds of everything. (That doesn’t explain the iPad.) Have you tried the videos on an iPad or iPhone without the web client?
That’ll at least give you answers about the video itself and the browser and then you could turn it over to support.
I’d post a couple and see if they play differently or at all in just Safari on the mobile devices.

So many possible reasons. Here are your starting points:
Is the proxy share mounted and mapped correctly on the PC with r/w permissions? (Macs see “/Volumes/proxy-drive” and you see 😛 or :F or whatever?) “preferences>Media Search Paths” is where you’ll find this setting.
Do you have the correct codecs to view and export the formats that you have selected?
Is your version of quicktime up to date on the PC?
Nothing earth-shattering here but these are the common things we see with PCs and Macs sharing an environment.

Thanks Jim,
Yes, new videos are on the way on some new things we’ve been working on. Also a general “asset management for the mid-sized production” keynote that I did last summer needs to be recorded.
We’ll see what happens at NAB. I’m sure there’ll be much to talk about. 😉

You know man, for speed, if you leave off “10” it goes way faster.
