I installed the codecs from the Avid site on my plain Macbook and QT pro shows that I can select the meridien codec. Go look at the latest downloads, there are intel codecs posted.

Diana Weynand (sp?) wrote the book for Avid guys moving to FCP. She also used to run classes in LA. Vague info but I hope it helps.

My post says “crash record” as the Avid only allows that over FW. But thanks for the reply. I know I’m gonna see this elsewhere.
We are seeing a variety of errors. Underruns, for one which may be related to Processor (we are using mostly dual G5’s) as we have pretty dang speedy drives. I’ll run the test on a Quad that we have on deck and then, like I said, the HD board should be here from Tweaksbury today…
