    I do some editing here at the studio, yes, but i also work at home on personal porjects just to keep learning. Also, I’m getting lessons in photoshop from my sister in law whose a graphx designer. But i will def get my skills up before making a move.

    I live in Westchester, NY. 20 minutes from midtown. I also would like to work on a Television Series. Would you guys still suggest moving to LA? Im working as an Assistant Editor for a small production company that doesnt pay very much.

    I’m pretty sure he just wants it no bigger than 100mb, that makes sense. He’s not a guy who knows too much about this type of stuff. Knowing now, it is an odd request. Thanks for the help.

    the video is 30seconds. He wants a quicktime mov, 100mb. I used Squeeze but the file is only 14mb

    Thanks guys. I wasn’t able to open any autosaves either. What I did was open a new pj and imported an autosave. Still lost hours of work but not as many I guess

    The computer is pretty solid with 2.00GB of RAM and I’m running windows xp. Strange thing is that if I close out premiere and reopen the project it will render fine, for a few hours anyway.

    I’m sorry let me corrrect myself. Premiere creates these folders on its own anytime the program is opened. Its like its trying to remember a path that once existed. It also creates .mcdb files.
    I don’t think its the scratch disks.

    By drivers letters i mean hard drives (X,E). It creates folders for them.

    We have a few G-RAID drives here at the office. Thats what we trust most with client footage. We don’t use Maxtor so much, only for in house stuff now. Stick to G-RAID and use Firewire, but its a bit expensive.

    Sorenson Squeeze also works very well, but you would need to purchase it :/

    I’m kinda new to this, but I think you can import your footage into a 29 or 30fps timeline and then export it…
