Hi, I need to create a QT for the web for a client. He specified that he wants it to be 100mb. I have the project on FCP, how do i export a file to be that size? I have compressor and squeeze, btw.

the video is 30seconds. He wants a quicktime mov, 100mb. I used Squeeze but the file is only 14mb

That’s crazy. Why would he want a 30 second video to 100MB for the web? What format is it to start with? You might be able to export directly to that.

    All the best,

    Tom

Yeah – that’s an odd request. Working backward from a target file size is going to be challenging and weird – especially with something as short as 30 seconds. Maybe he wants something no bigger than 100mb? If so that’s easy.

You sure it was 100MB and not 100 kb/sec?

I’m pretty sure he just wants it no bigger than 100mb, that makes sense. He’s not a guy who knows too much about this type of stuff. Knowing now, it is an odd request. Thanks for the help.

YouTube used to have a 100MB limit. Maybe he’s thinking of that.
