I’m surprised it doesn’t just tell you at the top how many you have selected.

If you have selected them you could drag them onto the Create new composition icon in the project panel and select single composition in the pop up. Just look at your total layers in this new comp and you have your number. Then delete the comp you just made.

My mistake… i done a quick google on updates so thought the last update was April. However we definitely have the most up to date version on CC. It could very well be that this June update introduced the problem.

    Cheers Dave.

Yeah in the mean time we are just rendering locally and coping over to the network as a workaround. However it is a step in our workflow i would like to try avoid if possible especially when dealing with very long sequences so i’m hoping (a fools hope) someone may have had the same issue and found a solution.

    Hi Bentley…

Did you ever find a solution to this?

We are having the same issue with the Fulldome plugin. We recently updated to AE 2015, (and got the Fulldome update for 2015 compatibility) and cant open any of our projects in 2015 without the same error message you mentioned. If we create a simple project with a solid and fulldome thrown on it in 2014 it works in 2015 but our old projects with dome setups are just not working.

This is preventing us migrating to 2015

I have created an image that demonstrates the issue. The red shapes are basic after effects planes lined up with the element 3d box.
