    The AVCHD from Sony AX2000 doesn’t work we ll with FCP 5/67. The FCP X may surppot it well.

    If you are using FCP 5/6/7 to edit the footages, I advice you to convert AVCHD to ProRes (FCP’s native format) before importing to FCP. The conversion will save your rendering time, it menas that you can directly drag and drop the covnerted file to FCP without L&T.

    FCP6 is too old. 1080 30P AVCHD is not a good editing format for FCP 6. I advice you to upgrade to FCP 7 or FCPX.
