    Thank you, the X264 encoder works perfect in Avid.

    Except that AE no longer cant render anything. It says “an output module failed. the file may be damaged or corrupted. (1610153464)” when trying to render.
    Have you got this codec to work with AE?

    Both Avid and RedCine showed Absolute Timecode (AC), not Edge – so I had to change to absolute in the camera raw settings.

    The DOP said it was a couple of way to record the timecode from the Epic camera – so I guess this is the first time (with this settings) as the timecode thing has never crossed my mind earlier.

    So what I am saying is that the RED files have different timecodes in the mediapool than in redcine x

    Hi,

    Resolve is not a compositing tool, so you will achieve much better results by using an another software. Smoke, AE etc.
