well i went back to version 11.1.2 and still having the same issue so has to be some kind of setting I am missing

i was able to get it working by calling Gspeed and installing an update.

I also called and was told there is no plans to support new Mac OS. So is media 100 throwing in the towel? I don’t know how they expect to stay in business if they are not going to support the newer OS’s. Does anyone else know any more info? We are in the process of doing some upgrades and if this is the case might have to make the move to FC.

I get this message “The Movie could not be opened” “The file is not a movie file” Now this only happens with audio files and it is def something that happens going from the mac to server or vice versa. We did a test with the same files that were and issue by sending them through hightail. When we did that the same exact files the would not link would link up. So we have def narrowed it down to the server just can’t figure out what happens between the mac and pc that is causing this issue.

another interesting thing. these files are posted on a server and you can quick play them on the server however when you download them off the server these files won’t play and again it is not on all the audio files. So something appears to be going on with the transfer. any ideas?

the drives are fine and the files are all where they should be. the strange thing is when i get these files all the music and and SFX used all come through. It is just the VO files. Really at a loss on this.

I don’t see any preferences for Red in my preference folder. Is it just part of the Media 100 preferences? I am hesitant to trash my Media 100 preferences because I have a lot of expot setting I really don’t want to lose.

Well it doesn’t happen every time. However I would say it happens like 80% of the time. The only way to get out of Media is to force quit. I can access stuff if you right click the Media icon on the bottom and then select a timeline or something else. I will try to trash the Red Preferences and see what happens.

If you got to the preferences in AE and under video preview it is under the Output mode. The new AE is still seeing the old aja card even though it was unistalled and the new one 8.0 was installed. In the new AE it only shows the LH card and not the new on LHE
