Has anyone had problems with stretching and color when exporting out of AE 8 and importing into Media100 13?

It looks good in the display and NTSC monitor in After Effects, Render out and it looks fine on the computer monitor playing the file quicktime. But when we import into Media100 it looks slightly horizontally stretch and slightly oversaturated. It looks worse on the NTSC monitor but is noticeable on the computer monitor.

    Hmmm,

into which codec do you render? Which resolution of your composition? How do you import into Media 100 (slow import or fast import)? How do you preview from AE?

we use QT with Media 100 NTSC-720 compression out of AE at best quality

not sure if we are using slow or fast import. where can you find that info?

using NTSC monitor to preview in AE

How is your AfterEffects video output set? You need to set it to Media 100 to be able to see your compositions on your screen correctly in AE when rendering into Media 100 i codec. And your composition needs to be NTSC D1 (720*486) to fast-import into Media 100. You should be able to see either “updating Media file” or “Rendering video track” while importing into Media 100; when updating media file you are fast-importing, when rendering video track you are slow importing.
