Been away – apologies for not acknowledging your reply earlier.

Thanks for the reply Chris and it looks as I suspected. Chapter points need to be standardised by the UN! But no problem, I’ll just put them in within Encore. I might even dig out my old version of DVD Studio Pro and see how I get on with that.

Well that worked very well Kris – saved all the time associated with installing a bigger internal HDD. For the moment I’m using a small Buffalo TB drive but I might experiment by having that database on one of my fast Caldigit USB3 drives but at least I know it’s all possible and I’m going in the right direction. Many thanks!

So much great advice – many thanks! Actually I am paying for some training and have recently completed the Izzy Video courses for FCPX. Masses to take in and I anticipate going through them again soon. But those recommendations of yours are most interesting – thanks again.

I think I managed to move them from /library/application support/adobe/common to the external drive once but the playback etc became horrendous so I quickly moved things back.

Anyway, it sounds like I’m in luck with FCPX! Many thanks for your reply.
