Certainly it&#8217;ll be INFINITELY faster and easier than my current clumsy approach going through MANY hours of video. <p>I envisage inputting a photo or frame grab of him and then stepping back as the software gets to work. Ideally (I think) I&#8217;d end up a list of MP4s with the minutes&hellip;</p>

Actually I made a very short extract for the client of that particular dramatic moment in the show (with some colour matching done) and he didn&#8217;t mention what I had noticed so I might get away with it as it stands. They are a recent action camera and an older camcorder from about 9 years ago but still going strong. Screen shots of the footage properties of the two different cameras are shown below.</span></p>
<p class="">The project is 1920 x 1080 50p, Rec. 709 and ultimately I&#8217;ll be making some PAL DVDs.&hellip;</p>

I then edit &#8216;multicam&#8217; with Final Cut Pro X. Stage lighting varies quite a bit and I often have to raise or lower exposure during the editing process. </p>

At one point there was a projection on the theatre cyclorama which shows differently according to the angle &#8211; please see the attached photo. The camcorders were all set 1080/50i. I downloaded FCP to the new machine and that, of course, is 10.6.1. </p>

<p>I have all my current projects on external drives, of course, and my question is, if I open one of those projects on the new machine, will it convert the&hellip;</p>

In general, do you think it would be faster (or better in some way) to always have these two entities &#8216;forked&#8217; across two reasonably fast external&hellip;</p>

As mentioned, I&#8217;m not really up-to-date on the &#8216;drive&#8217; world but I sort of got the impression that SSDs have a limited number of &#8216;writes&#8217; &#8211; a lot less than the spinning variety? Am I completely wrong? Should I not worry&#8230;?</p>

Everything is working very well but I feel like a speed boost so sometime soon I&#8217;m going to buy either a Macbook pro 16&#8243; M1 Pro or Max &#8211; not yet decided quite yet as I only buy&hellip;</p>
