HELPS – you can say that again! Wow, I just watched their video for Face Indexing and that looks just perfect for me. Certainly it’ll be INFINITELY faster and easier than my current clumsy approach going through MANY hours of video. Oh yes, the flicker filter could be interesting, thanks. Actually I made a very short extract for the client of that particular dramatic moment in the show (with some colour matching done) and he didn’t mention what I had noticed so I might get away with it as it stands. All the same, I’ll try that filter!

It doesn’t sound like Flicker Free would be appropriate but thanks for mentioning it as it could be the one to use another day. Say towards the end of a long edit I decide that I shouldn’t favour a particular angle, is there an easy way to go to or simply highlight the various places I’ve used it? Currently I keep touching cursor down and keep my eye on the angle viewer as it jumps around the window but maybe there’s another way..? Thanks in advance for any help.

And to round things off I created an MP4 from the “Apple ProRes 422” file and that reduced the same video size down to 2.87 GB. About 1% of the “Apple ProRes 4444 XQ” file! To my not-so-bad eyes there’s no worthwhile difference. Interesting, at least for me.

Oh dear – I think I’ve got it. I looked in the setting for the Export and I seem to have specified the Video Codec of “Apple Prores 4444 XQ”. I can’t remember changing to that! Not sure if I entirely understand what you want to do but if you put a bunch of clips on the timeline, select them all, Control-D and then enter a value such as 100 to represent 1 second then all the clips will be cut down to 1 second each. Does that help?
