4 hours of video on one DVD?

February 14, 2019 at 8:53 pmHi, I want to put several SD files of a total length of 4 hours on one 4.6 DVD. Media encoder offers a number of DVD presets but I wonder if I can lower the quality to fit more video on a DVD. I lowered the “Quality” of the encode to 30 but the size of the file (and the bitrate) did not change. How do I lower the quality of the video to get a smaller file?
thanks. -

February 23, 2022 at 5:35 pmHi Dan, I hope you’re still around. May I ask what you did, which parameters you adjusted? Soon I’ll be trying to get a 98 minute video (which a simple menu system) onto a single layer DVD. I recall a bit less than 90 minutes is about the max and I really don’t want to have to spread the file over two DVDs. Anything in particular you recall you did to keep the best quality image possible in the circumstances? Thanks for any advice!
