Do you have settings set that could be turned off that you don’t need to speed up the process.

When you import your video through the import window you should be able to select the ranges and import only those ranges. Depending on what you are importing from.

It sounded like some of your audio was done later to add to the edit. You could tell it was recorded in a different location. Try to record that audio in the same place as the other audio. Some of the shots of the logos on the cars were to abrupt for me. Also, maybe add some music but than again vlogs are raw in nature, so maybe music will take that feel away. Otherwise good video.

Are you coping the keyframes themselves or the lower third clip? Try holding down the option key and click and drag the lower third to the new location.

How do you add clip names? Do you use a title for that or an effect?

I find it interesting that this forum, “Apple Final Cut Pro X Debates” gets Premiere stories posted that has nothing to do with FCP X.

1. FCP X, No need to use proxy for ProRes 422.
2. FCP X, Using ranged based key words and smart collections will help you organize your footage fast.
3. FCP X, What kind of clip metadata are we talking about?Disclaimer, I have not used AVID. But, I have used PP and for me FCP X with its ranged based key wording, organizing footage is faster and much better than PP.
Is this a multi camera shoot where all four cameras are on the interviewees?
Did you record audio separately?FCP X is a top notch multi camera editor.
You can certainly do this in PP or AVID, but I would choose FCP X.

From the looks of it, Avid has had their feet on fire for years with no relief in sight. Seems they are still not delivering.
