You see the guides scrubbing though the interface render but the hairs in a render and it’s a post effect so the tag won’t work. If you are using the display tag to animate visibility try animating the Transparency in the Hair Material

if it’s not the difference between renders I’d have to see the scene (or know how the background/sky is set up)

are the dots there when you do a full render (Render to Picture Viewer) as opposed to a preview render?

one simple way is – fix one end of the spline using Fix in the Spline Dynamics tag, attach the cube that swings to the spline with a Align to Spline tag (0 or 100% depending on the splines direction), move the spline with Wind and/or Turbulence Objects – you have to add the Wind/Turbulence objects to the Spline Dynamics tags Forces tab in the Include box.

I’d select an edge that runs along the middle of the road and an edge that defines the road shape and do a couple “Edge to Spline” commands and use those generated splines in a SweepNurb.

Clothilde is one possibility, but you’d have to cache since the collider (the box) would be animated. Either that or bones (which may be the way that example was done – it’s a little hard to tell since the flash player is incapable of frame by frame).

C4D has not always been able to open files from newer versions – couldn’t improve the format if that was always true. Some versions have been compatible (v11 files can be opened in v10 – v8 could open v9 files but 8 and 9 can’t open 10 or 11 files). There is a complete list somewhere (Adam might know it I think)

you have to enable PLA (point level animation). Either in the Animation/Record menu or click the icon for it to the right of the timeline in the Standard view.

if you put the Text Spline object in an Extrude Nurb you can either keyframe the content of the Text Spline or feed in content with xPresso
