the splines already exist (but don’t show in the render). Likely the splines were created by hand or maybe were a set of trails behind particles but either way the end points would have to be tweeked by hand to make sure they ended up in the right place (at least with this small number of end points).

Distance Modifier added to to whatever parameters are necessary in the S&T materials. Here is a test with the Pink/Orange material (Mat) with the Spots shader in the Luminance turned off since it’s adding to the darkness but is harder to control since it doesn’t have a distance modifier I’m aware of, so only the three sketch mats are active. I added a Distance Modifier to each and then it’s a matter of controlling the distance parameter. It’s touchy but doable. Easier with a Perspective camera but it’s camera based control so if you are rendering from a non camera based view it doesn’t work and Parallel doesn’t work like perspective since the camera when moved closer will make the S&T thicker but doesn’t change the apparent closeness of the object.

That’s not extruding, that’s Sweeping rectangle splines along a set of curved splines. The image parts can be attached to the Sweep end caps by using the default caps selection “C” in a material on the Sweep

if you are trying to run it in the editor and your computer can’t keep up and skips frames it can change from run to run but the sim should stay the same unless you have randomize etc effectors and keep changing the random seed. Try caching it to see what will really happen. It could help (but I’m not sure) to uncheck Disable on Skip Frame in Project/Dynamics/General

ah, so custom stuff, then the first part is what you need. the Strength gives you the total curve along the length of the bent object, the angle rotates the curve around that (Y) axis. To answer your question to Jim (I think) you just rotate the Bend deformer so the bend’s Y axis is pointing in the direction you want to bend (if your setup is fairly normal that’s probably 90 in B) – assuming the bend is a child of the monitor and you have rotated the bend in the direction that will work for you then click Fit To Parent in Bend/Object.

the problem with degrees in the Bend deformer is the Strength in degrees is over the length of the bend deformer (or the bent object rather) 2.5 degrees is not much on something shaped like a modern monitor. Is that what you are after?
I wonder since curved monitors are all measured in 1800R, 3000R etc. which is the radius the monitor would be if was wide enough to make a circle in millimeters, so a 1.8 meter radius circle, a 3 meter radius circle… or is the radius of your screen so large 2.5 degrees is really correct?
If you are going for a normal computer monitor/tv and you know the R value it might be easier to add a circle spline of the correct radius and use Corrado’s second suggestion and use a Spline Wrap to bend the monitor along the spline

it works here but it’s a lot more visible with a curve shaped more like this

ah yes and maybe the ones I was thinking of with no Save path set…

inside the C4D folder or in the Maxon preferences folder, if I recall. Jim will be able to check. But with the preview movie open in the Preview window you should be able to do a Save As… from that window to save it where you want.
