OK.. this weekend I wiped everything and did a fresh Mavericks install with the latest CC app updates and CUDA 6.5.51. Everything is working like a dream again. 🙂

Any other conspiracy theorists out there that think the Mac platform is a far less bang for the buck for Adobe? wondering if we are seeing the end of days for the Mac platform being used for professional apps.

excellent. yeah Adobe keeps sending me surveys and my response with each gets more and more negative. they sure are gearing up after NAB with all these new goodies while seemingly ignoring the major cries of their Mac users. don’t get it. IF there really is a fix on the way, why don’t they give more press on it?

I really hope Adobe is still monitoring this thread. It would seem to me that whether it be an NVIDIA, Apple, or Adobe issue, Adobe CC is the toolset we all need. The toolset that needs to function and function reliably. and I hope they will champion the cause and quickly and completely resolve this issue with all parties concerned.

I’m actually – please forgive me – tossing around the notion of buying a PC workstation for Adobe CC. Anyone have any feedback on this crazy notion? Looks like even the high end workstation builders like ProMax have discarded Macs in their offerings. ProMax used to do Mac and PC builds, but they have discontinued Macs… maybe because of the uncertainty. Us people sure don’t need uncertainty at this point.

I always convert images to RGB so I couldn’t confirm that or not. I’m heaving only intermittent issues now. every once and a while for no apparent reason. On the Adobe sight it suggests converting all footage to the same codec. But that’s kinda weird since the whole big perk of switching to adobe out of the gates from FCP7 was the feature of being able to edit with multiple codecs simultaneously. I’ve been converting footage to prores like I used to in FCP
