Except all the plugins and templates that aren’t installed there and are installed in /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro/Templates
For example on my system that’s where Universe, Coremelt, and Neat Video reside. Not in my user folder.

But did YOU put the media in the folder, or did you have it copy it automatically? I’ve seen that be a problem when it’s just copied to the media folder in the effect, because that’s just a copy of the media it’s actually linked to somewhere else.

I’m not an audio guy either. I used regular waveforms for 20 years and when X came out I instantly understood rectified. I’m not even sure I noticed the difference. If anything I wondered why the hell we were wasting specie looking at a mirror image all these years. Why don’t audio meters go up and down or left and right with 0 being the middle if it’s such an important concept? Of course I wouldn’t mind it being an option but really don’t see the point.

Why doesn’t the file path list movies/motion templates/etc? It just skips right from user to transitions.

Probably about 300 free videos/tutorials, but to really get the idea, their entire Motion library is on sale 30-40% off right now I think about $189. Or each specific course about $50.

There’s no licensing involved. It was a broad generic comment about installing plugins, so it was a was a broad generic comment about why they’re installed in the user folder. It didn’t have any bearing on the issue at hand.
