With prior versions I couldn’t go 2 minutes. No joke. I bought an AJA it was so bad. And while the performance of the AJA us similar, the interface was horrible. And it often wouldn’t let go of the app after you quit.
.I see in the BMD notes that it fixes some SDI bug. Out of curiosity how are you monitoring and what are you home up to? I’m using a Flanders LM series via SDI.Good luck!

10.6.6 seems cured. Been a light day but no crashes.

Willing to wager there won’t be any “automatically” about it. But it shouldn’t be much of an issue. Have all your media in a directory and in X just click relink all and point to the directory.

Don’t so anything but a rough cuts and dissolves in Premiere. Keyframes, titles, solids, transitions, etc are all understandably unreliable. Color correction and plugins obviously won’t come across. Audio tracks can be a mess too. If channels were turned off or removed or panned, I wouldn’t assume they’re correct.

Keywords and roles aren’t containers, but I’d say events are. In Jeremys words, they keep things separate. Clips only exist in one event at a time.
I’m not sure why we don’t have role collections. I import everything by dragging to a keyword collection. If rather drag to a role collection since that’s more important. Then I’d apply keywords second.

[Brett Sherman] “Exactly. While FCP X works well with media WITHIN the library. Once you get outside the library all that work you did painstakingly keywording evaporates. If you have to search for a clip where you don’t know what library it is in, you are SOL.
“FWIW Library manager seems to claim it can search keywords across libraries. But I don’t have the he advanced license to try it out. https://www.arcticwhiteness.com/finalcutlibrarymanager

Never mind. I had a layer locked in the Motion generator and apparently it kept me from adjusting the drop zone layers even though they weren’t locked.

It’s truly amazing in person. The funny thing is to the kids this is just the reality. As are cell phones and the internet.

Not to toot Disney World’s horn again, but I was pretty blown away by a live show I saw there where the kids sat in front a of huge screen where an animated talking turtle took questions from the crowd live. It was swimming around in a simulated tank. The weird thing is it also looked at the kids right in the eye and the turtle was pretty dang funny too. Good off the cuff improv. But I guess he does it all day all every day. Still not completely sure how they pulled it off. I have to think a combo of an adobe type solution with a guy hidden that can see the kids and look in the right direction. He also calls them out by the shirt their wearing or what they’re doing.
