I tend to think that FB is part of the issue. Or twitter or wherever. It’s simply a better engine and interface for all this sort of thing. A one stop shop for all your groups, politics, fake news, friends and fake friends. I can mix my Cub Scout pack convos with my FCPX group alerts. And all with a cleaner, easier to share media (like videos and images) friendly interface. The cow forums aren’t in competition with FB groups. The cow is in competition with FB.

2 or 3 threads below is a huge thread that you didn’t even comment on debating how to efficiently use Premiere vs FCPX. It’s right up your alley and I think almost every post says FCPX. So yeah, it’s your settings (what settings?). Maybe you’re searching for fcp x and not FCPX.

Are you using a wireless keyboard? I haven’t seen your issues, EXCEPT some similar stuff with my logitech wireless keyboard. It’s not bluetooth, and if you have some interference with the receiver, it can be quite flaky.
But with a wired keyboard, I’ve never seen any of those issues. Except the shift drag thing, but that seems to be an FCPX issue.

You don’t have to click through. Just hold down the back or forward history arrow for a menu and you can go directly to the project. Works just like Safari.

1m adds the default marker. 2m adds the default marker and opens the marker edit window. 3m makes sticky notes.

I’ve noticed this before. Sometimes you have to make sure shift is down before you start the drag or it doesn’t engage.

Why aren’t you using the fade handles or the hot keys to apply fade handles? KEy framing fades seems rather laborious, plus adjusting later isn’t as simple.
