not the context of the forum but…
how do like sonar? I have been using Cubase since day 1 and frankly was hoping for something better when Hans Zimmer bought into it. Seems to be packaged towards the dance / loop crowd and not towards film and tv guys. Plus they use a damn dongle. I hate that thing. I am always paranoid it will break of the usb port or I’ll loose it.

I am host of a show called Night Fright (don’t be scared its Canadian lol) the only thing scary here is 25cm of snow in winter. Anyway just bought a new lap top and finally got new blue 2.0 up and going and love it now that it worked. Just had Jesse Ventura on the show and was editing it getting ready to render and there is no mp4 in pro 12! talk about a bummer. can’t figure out what happened to it its still there in my desk top…weird. Hey I should do a show on THAT LOL!

could be a driver problem I have a usb EMU 1204 midi audio interface that is not 64 bit supported they just dropped the product 3 months after I bought it.

Not sure if your re running into the same problem. I am now going usb keyboard and mics which aren’t anywhere near the quality of the stuuf in the studio, but, music companies bring out new hardware and then drop them after two years so you are left without a front end. at least usb is supported and latency with usb 2 -3 is no longer an issue.

actually I really love the graphics as well. Wish it would stop causing blue screens

As a Canadian and host of a TV show here I wanted to pass on a show that all maybe interested in as it is of historical value:

Hello folks I have a show on all TVCOGECO TV stations (Channel 13 here in Kingston) This week we are broadcasting our show with Col Robert Darling (USMC) who was in the Nuke Proof White House Bunker taking orders from Cheney and Rice. He walks us through every minute and second as the reports flooded into the bunker. How split second decisions were arrived at and all the behind the scene threats (nukes) that we knew nothing about. It is historic and riveting. The show is free to download on YouTube. Please let your students know. It is a volunteer show for me and I make no money off it.

same problem plagues me all the time. Why not have the designers take a look at music software. What they do is designate a specific position on the upper corner. Or even better everything above the black middle line to the top is for fades and evrything below is ofr shortenning and extending. the current design is dumb and in accurate.
