They also promote the 1080p viewing, but the video is only 720p. I’m sure they didn’t want 1080p simply because the dual core system couldn’t handle the editing with their iMovie app.
I’m happy with the video mirroring. This will help with many presentations and video sharing. If you pair it up with the iTV you can wirelessly send the signal to it and have it show up on an HDTV. I’m still trying to see if there is an adaptor from the iTV that’ll hook up to a non-HD projector. Right now it looks like it’ll only hook up to an HD TV with the HDMI. I know you can hook up the iPad with their cable adaptors directly to the projector.

Of course, it all come’s down to the Apps. Apple has the edge simply due to the abundance of apps.
It’s still a big improvement to have the video out. Yeah, I caught that 1080p and then saw the video at 720p. I’m sure they did this because the dual core still can’t handle 1080p editing with their iMovie app being promoted.
Apple downplayed they’re tech spec’s simply by stating that we are apple and you should just love us no matter what attitude. Well, yes I love apple products, but I’ve also purchased an HP laptop because the Apple products are way over priced for a comparable laptop.

What firmware version is your camera? If it’s an EX-1 an has not been updated, it will have problems.
I’ve also had my problems with Transcend, but that was before I upgraded my firmware.

I use the Sony Lav’s. We did a side by side comparison with other lav’s and the sound quality was better.
I also did a shoot with over 12 wireless mic’s running in a hotel conference center with no interference or issues.
Wireless into the Zoom and into the camera.
Or as a backup, shotgun on camera, wireless to Zoom.
If you are doing run and gun interviews, hand held wireless mic being held by the interviewer. It looks cheesy to have subject hold their own mic’s, but you have to do whatever you’re budgeted for.

Don’t use the DSLR for streaming. Get a dedicated video camera that you can zoom with and offer the one camera option.
If she wants a multicamera shoot streamed, you’ll need to rent video cameras and charge her a bunch of cash for the headache.

The L-Series Canon lenses will look better and have deeper colors than the Sigma. They are pricey though, but glass is everything.
If you want to best look, buy prime lenses. Faster glass will serve you in low light, something with 1.4. Less noise in your shots.
You can use any still lens to shoot video. If it looks good as a still, it should look good as video.

The top two slider’s I would recommend are the DP Slider and GlideTrak’s new Hybrid Slider. Both start around $400 and go up to around $800.
Simple, easy to use, travel with, lockable slide head, vertical and horizontal sliding capabilities.

I lease my vehicles. 100% tax deductible. I just dumped the SUV to a Prius. I have a crane that barely fits, fold the seats down, it works. I do have another family SUV just in case.
I’m able to fit my gear for 90% of my shoots. Once I started getting 48-52 miles per gallon, it was a no-brainer. You can wrap it with your logos and it still looks cool. Plus you can say you’re a green company. The fuel economy, especially with gas prices predicted to reach $4.00 per gallon.
They don’t look big, but I have 2 car seats and my wife that fit in the back seat.

I feel your pain. I’ve had corruption issues that didn’t recover. I, like you, had multiple cameras, so I could cover it up in editing.
Try to have safeguards in place with a more reliable source to check the backups before deleting footage on cards. I know this doesn’t make you feel better, but hopefully you can prevent this in the future.

You need to list what version of Premier you are editing with. In CS5 you don’t need to convert anything. Just import the footage files into your project and drop it onto your timeline. It will set your sequence settings automatically.
