Just out of curiosity Joey, are you running FCP 7?

I recently updated to FCP7 and have just come across this issue. I’m also using Quicktime 7.6.4 on OS X 10.5.8

HDCAM. It has the highest bitrate out of the mentioned options

Track a horizon if u can. Always track something that shares a similar plane to what u want tracked. In ur cause with the sky, track something far back because the sky is far back

Make sure when your fcp sequence is in 16:9 and the 16:9 footage u have fills the canvas and ur 4:3 footage has vertical black bars (pillar boxed). If ur 4:3 footage is stretched out to 16:9, just remove attributes>distort.

Then when you export a quicktime and bring it into DVDSP make sure the track is displayed at 16:9
