Joe,

Are you saying that Boris uses high res’ pics just like Stagetools? We use Stagetools in offline then move to a different suite for online. This means we have to reload each pic’ in Stagetools. Would Boris perhaps eliminate this step?

What’s your source footage ? What resolution was your source dig’ed at?What are your output settings in Quicktime and more importantly what codec did you choose? by DVD do you mean a data DVD or video DVD? Many variables here and its hard to tell without more specifics.

There is a forum dedicated to compression at creativecow and they could probably give you some great advice since the issue is mostly likely what codecs your using.

After bringing up the Command pallet there are three buttons along the bottom. Button to button reassignment, Active buttons, and something I can’t recall. Click Active buttons to control through the Command palette.

Hi.

Not sure if your switching Avid programs but if you are the solution I’ve found is to create a new project in your Avid. Give an identical name to the project being copied.Save. Open the old project and copy over only the bin files (.avb). Basically your transferring everything but the project settings.

By the way. A project doesn’t have to be in the Projects folder to open. So if you navigate to the original project and it still doesn’t open then you know its a compatibility issue.

But it turns out that the Qt movie was a red herring. The real issue was ie’s incomplete implementation of CSS.

I took out the external style sheet and everything works great.

You can create a countdown leader when you digital cut. However you must be in local mode not remote to access this option.
